Career Guidance from Industry Leaders to Associate Degree Students

The presentation, held at the Edremit Vocational School Conference Hall, was coordinated by Lecturers Hasan DEMİRHAN and Zeki Yahya PATAN. Students from the Machine and Mechatronics programs opened the doors to the business world by meeting with Çoşkun SEVER, the owner of SVR SEVER MAKİNE SAN. ve TİC A.Ş. and one of the experienced names in the industry.

The presentation focused on how theoretical education integrates with practical application, post-graduation success, and the expectations of the business world from associate degree graduates. During the event, which addressed current developments in the sector, project development, sustainability, and digital transformation, the importance of "soft skills" such as communication, crisis management, and continuous learning—alongside technical proficiency—was emphasized.

At the conclusion of the event, a plaque of appreciation was presented by the Vice Director of the Vocational School, Lecturer Mehmet ALGİL. The session ended with the aspiration that such gatherings strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, accelerate students' job search processes by providing sectoral vision, and significantly contribute to their personal development.
